FaysFitness in Candor is performing car repairs, charging elders and other people large sums according to the type of repair needed. This man is not a certified mechanic. It took several calls but when Mr. Fay finally returned my call he openly admitted he “didn’t know Volvo repairs” he said “I’m more of a Subaru guy” after his work failed. I aThis all makes me extremely suspect on how legitimate his fitness business is. He had my mothers’ Volvo in his parking lot awaiting a new timing belt for months and months. My mom was beside herself without a vehicle. She is the only one of her siblings that is still driving and she use to them to appointments. Mom complained about Mr. Fay and the extended length of time he had it, when she finally heard from Fay, it was only to tell her the beautiful car she owned was run over by a delivery truck smashing in the front end on Fays lot. NEVER been in any accidents before this. Once we got the timing belt fixed, the blue book value was roughly $8000. She received insurance funds for the smashed in front end but Ron Fay (fitness guru) took that insurance money for his faulty timing belt repair instead. He finally sent her Volvo home after 6 months of his ineptness with the driver side front end and headlight taped in. This body repair cost us an additional $900. that a certified professional did. I don’t know why Ron didn’t give mom or her power of attorney (My sister) any receipts when he replaced her timing belt. I was only trying to find out if the part was under warranty at the parts store. Ron Fay got so angry with me that he began making claims of harassment and false claims to my siblings. Now there is a big chasm between us where there wasn’t one before Mr. Fay wouldn’t provide us the name of the auto parts store, so we couldn’t even reach out to them to let them know the part failed. We were hoping to possibly get another timing belt so my certified mechanic and Volvo specialist could get it done properly. Thank you for your time. Elder abuse and scamming are high on my list towards holding these people accountable.
