Complaint Details
I went online on 7/22/19 to find a transmission and was contacted by several used auto parts dealers. Most quoted around $600 or more, but two offered the transmission for $400. I chose OEM Auto Parts US because the other dealer wanted an additional $150 for shipping.
I paid for the transmission by debit card over the phone and was told it would arrive early the following week, between 7/30 and 8/2. I received an invoice, along with emails containing a tracking number and the name of the shipping company. However, when I contacted the shipping company, they confirmed that nothing had been shipped under that tracking number and that they had no record of the shipment.
When I checked the company's website again on 8/1, it was no longer accessible. The phone numbers I was given also do not work. I then found complaints from other customers describing similar experiences.
I believe this company is fraudulent and that I was deceived into paying for a transmission that was never shipped. I also discovered that the company's last known address was an apartment.
